Salary & Benefits:
This position offers an attractive salary package and a range of generous benefits, including:
  • Salary package of $127,769.00 per annum
  • $2000 CURIS BONUS!*
  • Accommodation Allowance of $13,000.00 per annum
  • District Allowance of up to $7,138.00 per annum
  • Annual Airfare allowance after 12 months of service
  • Electricity Allowance of $1,400.00 per annum (pro rata)
  • Relocation reimbursement up to $5,000.00

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver meaningful, evidence-based support to Aboriginal children and families while working in a culturally safe, collaborative environment.

About Your Role:
Your role is to support Aboriginal children up to nine years of age experiencing developmental delays and/or disabilities. Using a culturally responsive, family-centred approach, you will deliver speech pathology services that meet the unique needs of children and families across the Kimberley.

Working closely within a team, you will collaborate with community organisations and stakeholders to provide high-quality interventions, advocacy, and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct evidence-based assessments and interventions for children with speech and language difficulties
  • Deliver speech pathology services aligned with the RECS Program
  • Collaborate with community-based organisations to improve outcomes for children and families
  • Develop strategies to improve access to childhood development services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Support Family Support Workers through training, mentoring, and collaborative practice
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and assessment records
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic early intervention supports

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Minimum two years’ clinical experience, particularly working with children
  • Experience developing play-based, family-centred intervention plans
  • Strong understanding of early intervention best practice principles
  • Willingness to travel across the Kimberley region and obtain required clearances
