Are you an experienced SAP EAM specialist ready to shape the future of enterprise asset management within a leading Australian mining organisation? We're seeking a Senior SAP Functional Analyst – EAM to play a pivotal role in driving the ongoing evolution of our SAP S/4HANA environment, partnering closely with business stakeholders to deliver innovative and practical solutions that support critical asset management operations.
About the Opportunity
As the Senior SAP Functional Analyst – EAM, you'll act as the functional expert and design authority for SAP EAM, leading the delivery of enhancements, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring the ongoing optimisation of SAP capabilities across the business. This is a hands-on role where you'll combine deep technical expertise with stakeholder engagement to influence outcomes and deliver business value.
Working closely with operational teams, technology partners and senior leaders, you'll contribute to the SAP roadmap while supporting business transformation initiatives across multiple sites.
What You'll Be Doing
• Act as the SAP EAM Design Authority, leading functional design and hands-on configuration activities.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational needs and translate them into effective SAP solutions.
• Lead the delivery of SAP enhancements, projects and roadmap initiatives aligned to business priorities.
• Provide oversight and governance of BAU support activities, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Configure and support SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) including equipment master data, maintenance plans, work orders, notifications and task lists.
• Collaborate with cross-functional SAP teams to ensure integrated and effective solutions.
• Support SAP security design and controls within the EAM domain.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to optimise asset management processes.
• Deliver training and capability uplift initiatives to enhance user adoption and system effectiveness.
• Travel occasionally to regional operations and mine sites to engage directly with stakeholders.
About You
You are a seasoned SAP professional with a passion for delivering business-focused solutions and influencing positive change.
• 15+ years' experience working with SAP S/4HANA EAM.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Asset Management, or a related field.
• Experience leading SAP enhancement pipelines, project delivery and change initiatives.
• A solid understanding of SAP security design and governance processes.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex SAP issues and deliver practical solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience within the mining industry will be highly advantageous
