About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Mackay.
These are casual opportunities with shifts available across the morning, afternoon, evening and weekends. These opportunities also include sleepover shifts.
In this role, you will be supporting a customer with complex needs, working with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans, providing personalised care, emotional support and assistance to help them live as independently as possible. This role involves supporting customers within a Supported Independent Living (SIL) home, working within our Community Hub and delivering Community Access Support (CAS).
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing personal care tailored to each customer’s needs
- Preparing meals and assisting with medication administration
- Offering emotional and mental health support
- Assisting with domestic tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable home
- Encouraging and supporting social and community participation
About You
- Experience working with complex behaviours (highly desirable)
- Experience working with Positive Behaviour Support plans (highly desirable)
- Flexibility to work a range of different shifts including morning, afternoon, evening, sleepovers and weekends (desirable)
- An empathetic person with a genuine passion for supporting people with a disability

Essential Requirements
- Current Driver’s License (P2 or Open) with own vehicle
- Senior First Aid & CPR Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)
- QLD Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
