Remedial Massage Therapist - Community Services
Help older people live well at home through evidence-based remedial massage therapy.
Resthaven is seeking a compassionate and qualified Remedial Massage Therapist to join our Marion Community Services team in a permanent part-time (0.6 FTE) position.
- Permanent Part-Time | 0.6 FTE (45.6 hours per fortnight)
- Wednesday, Thursday & Friday working days
- Based at Resthaven Marion Community Services
Working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, you'll provide high-quality remedial massage therapy to older people living independently in the community, helping them improve mobility, manage pain and maintain their quality of life.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll assess clients, develop individual treatment plans and deliver person-centred therapy that supports each person's health and wellbeing goals.
About the role
As a Remedial Massage Therapist, you will:
- Assess, plan and deliver evidence-based remedial massage therapy programs.
- Support older people to improve mobility, manage pain and maintain independence.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary Community Services team.
- Monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans to achieve the best outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Build positive relationships with clients, families and other health professionals.
About you
You'll be a qualified and compassionate Massage Therapist who enjoys working independently while making a genuine difference in the lives of older people.
To be successful you'll have:
- Current registration with the Australian National Register of Accredited Natural Therapists (or equivalent).
- Current driver's licence and a reliable, registered and insured vehicle.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An understanding of the needs of older people, their families and carers.
- The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisational and clinical documentation skills.
Experience working in aged care or community health will be highly regarded but is not essential.
