About The Role
Our Newcastle office has an opening for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our lively and close-knit Team. The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial operations. The AP Officer will process invoices, verify and reconcile financial data, and assist with maintaining vendor relationships. This role is integral to the smooth functioning of the organisation’s accounting operations.
This is a 12 month contract opportunity.
What You’ll Do
• Processing of invoices in an accurate and timely manner
• Conduct monthly reconciliations
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any payment-related issues in a prompt and professional manner
• Assist in generating monthly, quarterly, and annual reports related to accounts payable
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Bring
In addition to working in a high-volume processing environment, you have:
• Experience in accounts payable
• Strong attention to detail
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experienced in the use of Pulse software and Dayforce software (desirable)
• Works well under pressure and meets deadlines
