About The Role
Due to continued growth in our Business our Brisbane office has an opening for a Senior Payroll Officer to join our lively and close-knit Team. We’re looking for a detail-driven and knowledgeable Senior Payroll Officer to join our team on a fixed-term basis and play a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll operations.

What You’ll Do
Reporting into the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls while ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.
You’ll be a trusted point of contact for employees and leaders, providing clear guidance on payroll matters and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities will include:
• Process and distribute payroll, ensuring the regular payment of full entitlements to all employees in an accurate and timely manner
• Accurate calculation and processing of: Payroll tax, Workers’ compensation and Superannuation payments
• Process and set up new employees in the ERP system
• Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements
• Maintain payroll records and reporting with a high level of accuracy
• Respond to payroll queries with professionalism and clarity
What You’ll Bring
In addition to working in a high-volume processing environment, you have:
• Relevant experience of 5+ years as a Senior Payroll Officer within a large organisation
• Experience with interpreting and calculating employee payments in accordance with enterprise agreements
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, compliance, and best practices
• Experience calculating payroll tax, workers compensation, and superannuation
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experienced in the use of SAP is highly desirable and UKG is desirable.
• Certificate III or IV in Financial Services - Accounts Clerical is desirable.
