We're looking for a Women's Counsellor to join a remote NT health service.
You'll work closely with women and families, providing trauma-informed counselling and support for complex trauma, family violence, mental health and AOD issues.

As a Women's Counsellor, you'll work closely with women, families and community, supporting clients through complex circumstances and helping them access the services they need.
You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team working alongside Remote Area Nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, GPs, Midwives, Child Health Nurses, Mental Health Clinicians and Allied Health professionals.
You'll also work closely with Aboriginal Family Wellness Workers and community leaders, giving you the opportunity to learn from community and contribute to a genuinely community-led approach to health and wellbeing.

- Coordinating referrals and connecting clients with appropriate services

- A tertiary qualification in Counselling or a related discipline
- Current membership/registration with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA)
- Demonstrated experience providing trauma-informed counselling
- Experience supporting women affected by complex trauma, family violence, mental health or AOD
- A strong understanding of Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) and culturally safe practice
- A current driver's licence
- Current Working with Children Clearance, or the ability to obtain
- A National Criminal History Check, or the ability to obtain
- Full Australian working rights
